At our Renaissance Academic Rally we give each student who earns a Bronze, Gold, Silver or Platinum Card a color coded index card according to what level card they have earned, as they come into the special seating area. On this card we ask them to write the Staffulty person's name who Inspires them to work harder and a short explanation of how or why they are inspired by this person and of course the student's name. Before the rally begins we have a team taking up the cards from the students. During the rally we have a team calculate the votes by level and at the end we announce the winners. The Staffulty Winner of each level comes to the stage and is presented with a trophy and the index cards written by those who nominated them for the award. Staffulty who earn this award get to keep the trophy until the next rally; then it is passed on to the next "I Inspire" Winner! We have a name plate and the semester date put on their trophy a few days after the rally, so it is a constant source of pride for who the person who earns the trophy, even when it is passed on to the next person. The winner is also invited to a breakfast in their honor with the Student of the Month Receiptants for the following month. If a Staffulty member ever were to earn all four trophies at the same time, they will get a $250 Visa Card. Even if a Staffulty member doesn't receive the most votes, we give the cards written about them bundled with a bow to show them how students are inspired by their teaching. This has been a great hit for our Staff and isn't very expensive to do at all, and is a visible incentive enjoyed by everyone.
