Creating Your Invitations

Setting up your design:

What to put on your invitation:

  • Use clip art from our library>>
  • Show pictures of yourself throughout the years. Before using any professionally taken photographs, make sure you have permission from the photographer.
  • Show pictures and images that represent your interests such as sports, music and other activities. Clipart is available from many sources on the Internet.
  • If you've already received your cap and gown, have someone take a picture of you wearing it.
  • Photos should be scanned as .JPG files for best results. Consult your word processing software manual for instructions on how to import the images into the template.
  • If you ordered a paper style featuring your school's crest, please be sure that all content is appropriate for representing your school's image as well as your own. You are solely responsible for the content of all material imprinted, written or drawn on these invitations.
  • Use fun fonts that create a party theme, just make sure they are easy to read and that they print cleanly.
  • Don't forget to include your phone number and e-mail so guests can RSVP.
  • Use the back of the invitation to print a map to the party.
  • If using more sophisticated software, use angled text or add other special effects such as fancy frames around photos.

Printing your design:

  • Double check the date, time, place, phone numbers, etc. before printing.
  • Use the practice sheets provided to make sure everything lines up on the paper stock before you run it all through the printer.
  • Only use an ink-jet or dot-matrix printer with the Party Invitations. They are not suitable for laser printers as the foil may damage a laser printer.
